2. Scalp Renewal HeadSpa Treatment (75 minutes)
Powered by Scalp Solutions, the Scalp Renewal Headspa treatment is a luxurious, high-touch treatment, that features professional-only products powered by plant actives to address key scalp concerns and help defend against the visible signs of premature scalp aging. This relaxing, sensorial scalp reset is designed to renew your scalp and senses and deliver visibly shinier, healthier hair after one service.
The treatment for normal-to-dry scalps features products to improve scalp hydration, nourish and soften the scalp and soothe dryness. The massage features slow, focused pressure and circular, sliding massage techniques to address scalp tightness.
This treatment will take about 75 minutes (60-minute scalp treatment + 15-minute hair finishing).
Pro tip: We recommend getting this treatment done about one week prior to a color service, as this treatment should not be performed the same day as a color service.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE SCALP RENEWAL HEADSPA TREATMENT:
The Scalp Renewal Headspa Treatment is beloved by our team and we know you will love it too! The treatment is for normal-to-oily scalps and features products that reduce sebum, restore a clean scalp surface and cool and refresh the scalp. The massage portion features light, fast, pressing and scrubbing massage techniques to stimulate microcirculation to the scalp and help break up build-up often found on oily scalps.
We are breaking down exactly what you can expect during this incredible 75-minute treatment.
STEP 1: HAIR & SCALP CHECK
Your hair stylist will first perform a Hair & Scalp Check to gain more insight on the condition of your scalp. They will then share the products they will be using during the treatment that best suits your scalp.
STEP 2: AROMA, BREATH & STRETCH (10 MINUTES)
There are a few relaxation techniques your stylists may use to help calm you and get you ready for your treatment.
Aroma inhalation
You will be asked what aroma you would like for this warm-up exercise. Your stylist will put that aroma on their wrist, and you will inhale deeply.
Forehead cradle
Your stylist will place one hand over your forehead and the other hand under your occipital bone while gently pressing their hands into your forehead and upward into the occipital bone. You will take two breaths in this cradle.
Heated towel therapy
A steam towel will be placed under your occipital bone. Your stylist will then pull the ends of the towel upward and downward to bring your head into a gentle stretch. This step will end by placing the towel across your forehead, massaging along the occipital bone.
Scalp and neck slide
Your stylist will slowly rake their hands through your hair, from the front hairline to the occipital bone. Your stylists will end this step with a neck massage.
STEP 3: SCALP AND HAIR TREATMENT (25 MINUTES)
Using the Scalp Solutions Stimulating Scalp Massager, your stylist will gently massage your scalp. At the shampoo bowl, the Scalp Solutions Exfoliating Scalp Treatment will be used to loosen any flakes that may appear. Your hair will be shampooed using Scalp Solutions Balancing Shampoo and will end this step with the Scalp Solutions Professional Balancing Scalp Masque.
